I wanted to create a picture that looked like a 17 I wanted to create a picture that looked like a 17th-century painting, and I'm thrilled with how this photo came together. Finding a dress and neck ruff that fit the shoot took a lot of effort. Thank you to @lauren.___.s for being the perfect model for this shoot. And to @hannahownsacamera for being a fantastic assistant.

This swamp after sunset had the most mosquitoes I had ever seen. While changing into the nightgown, I seriously considered giving up on the shot 😂.
I made this image from photos I took of a church i I made this image from photos I took of a church in Falmouth. I edited those images and combined them with a picture @dxnelsd who graciously modelled for me on a ladder in the studio.

Swipe to see how I edited it. To take the photos I set my camera up on a tripod. Once I got the main photo of myself I lay on the ground in different spots with my arms in the air. I composited my arms into the final shot and added fire.
"Invisible" from my series Out of Order about livi "Invisible" from my series Out of Order about living with a brain injury.

This photo is about appearing healthy on the outside while being debilitated on the inside. Simple every day tasks are difficult with a brain injury. The noise, fluorescent lights, commotion and movement of the subway is an overwhelming amount of stimulation. It causes an increase in headaches and brain fog. While just trying to get from A to B I would deal with stares at my industrial headphones and heavy duty sunglasses. For this photo I tried to illustrate someone whose suffering is invisible to those around them.
"Searching for Silver Linings" from my series Out "Searching for Silver Linings" from my series Out of Order about living with a brain injury.

This photo was inspired by the saying every dark cloud has a silver lining. It is about searching to find something positive in a bad situation.

"Friendly Fire 2" from my series Out of Order on l "Friendly Fire 2" from my series Out of Order on living with a brain injury.

One of the most difficult aspects of living with a brain injury has been navigating relationships in a world that doesn't really understand invisible disabilities. Friendly Fire is about dealing with health advice that often isn't very helpful.
"Trapped in Time" from my series Out of Order abou "Trapped in Time" from my series Out of Order about living with a brain injury. Similarly to my last post this photo is about being trapped in time. Weeks become a blur of medical appointment after medical appointment. Years drag on and my symptoms stay the same. Almost a decade on and I was still trapped in the same place at 25 as I was at 16 when I was injured.
